Getting to Groningen:

– By Air: Groningen Airport Eelde is the nearest airport, with flights from major European cities. Alternatively, you can fly into Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport and take a train to Groningen. You can also travel to Eindhoven and then take a train to Groningen.

– By Train: The city is well-connected by train. Groningen Central Station is a hub for domestic and international train services.

– By Car: If you’re driving, the city is easily accessible by road, and there are parking facilities available.

• Due to the strict bicycle parking policy in the city of Groningen, it is advisable to park your bicycle in one of the free bicycle parking facilities in the city center. The closest sheltered bicycle parking facility to the MXT locations is located underneath the Groot Handelshuis.

Local Etiquette:

– Greet with a friendly “Hallo” (Hello) or “Goedemorgen” (Good morning).

– Most people in Groningen speak English, but a few Dutch phrases can be appreciated.
